Yesterday, two of our staff members — Pio Fabriziani, Tech Director at the International School of Bologna, and Mariel Reid, MYP Individuals & Societies Teacher — took part in the Google for Education Leader Series held at the Google Headquarters in Milan. This event brought together educators, school leaders, and innovators to explore how technology and artificial intelligence are transforming education. The sessions focused on how AI-driven tools can support teachers in optimizing lesson preparation, personalizing learning, and improving teaching methodologies.

Throughout the day, Pio and Mariel had the opportunity to engage with other educational professionals and share insights from ISB’s own journey in integrating new technologies into the classroom. They were also invited on stage to present ISB’s testing experience with AI and educational technology, a project that has been implemented across our school during this academic year. Their presentation showcased how ISB continues to embrace innovation as a key part of its mission — ensuring that students benefit from the most advanced, relevant, and engaging learning experiences.
We are proud of Pio and Mariel for representing ISB and contributing to this important conversation about the future of education. A heartfelt thank you to Google for Education for hosting such an inspiring and collaborative event.
At ISB, we remain committed to exploring the future of teaching and learning, guided by innovation, creativity, and the belief that technology can empower both educators and students to achieve their best.
Always looking for the most advanced teaching experience.
