Entrance Age

Admission to the International School of Bologna requires that applicants have attained the appropriate age by 31st December in the academic year of entry as outlined below:

Early Years One On reaching 2nd Birthday.*
Early Years Two Three years by 31st December
Early Years Three Four years by 31st December
Early Years Four Five Years by 31st December
Elementary School 1 Six Years by 31st December
Elementary School 2 Seven Years by 31st December
Elementary School 3 Eight Years by 31st December
Elementary School 4 Nine Years by 31st December
Elementary School 5 Ten Years by 31st December
Elementary School 6 Eleven Years by 31st December

* It is understood that students entering the Early Years One class may, depending on the date of their 2nd birthday, be required to complete another year in EY1 class.
The school reserves the right to admit an applicant outside of these age requirements on a case-by-case basis.
Initial placement will always be by Policy. Changes to the placement will be made only after an assessment of the student has been carried out.
