Ingrid holds a doctorate in Dutch Language and Literature and has also completed a post-doctorate course in journalism. She worked as a journalist for a dutch newspaper for ten years. In 2005 she moved with her family to the UK, where she worked as a freelance writer for several Dutch magazines. Ingrid has been living in Bologna with her family since september 2008. Both her son Koen and her daughter Lisa are currently attending ISB.

Donna has taught in England (where she is from) and then held administrative and teaching positions in international schools in Austria, Germany, Japan, Switzerland and India before moving to Italy last year.
She holds a Teaching Certificate in England, a BA Hons degree, an MA (Educational Leadership) and a Principal’s certificate. She has spent the last 15 years working in Authorized PYP schools as a PYP Coordinator and teacher.

Vicki Watson has taught in England and the International School of Amsterdam, Holland before coming to ISB in 2006.  She has a Batchelor of Arts Honours degree in Education as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology.  She has 12 years experience of working with and teaching the PYP with students up to 8 years old.  Her husband James also works at the school and their daughter Ruby (3 years old) is a student in the Early Years.

Martin Newell is English and has taught in England, Colombia, Spain and Italy in international schools, universities and language acadamies.. He holds a Psychology Degree(UK) and A PGCE in Primary Education (UK). He has lived in Bologna with his Colombian wife for nearly two years. He speaks English , Spanish and rapidly improving Italian.

Lorna has taught in Scotland, Spain, South Korea and Poland.  She holds a BA (hons) Communication degree and a Post Graduate Diploma (PGDE) in Primary education (UK).  Lorna is also a specialized English as a second language teacher and holds a CELTA English teaching certificate.  Lorna lives in Bologna with her husband who is also a teacher at the school.

Natalie was brought up in Coventry, England, by an English Mother and an Italian Father.
She is a qualified nursery nurse with a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies. She has worked in a variety of Early Years settings for over 5 years. She also holds the Trinity College Certificate in TESOL.
She lives in Rimini by the sea!

Miriam has been at the school 5 years and is the Art teacher to all Grade levels. She has a First class Degree in Fashion and Textiles from the University of Nottingham and before coming to the school has worked in the field of fashion both in London and Italy. She is married to an Italian (Napoletan!) and has three girls, a dog, a rabbit and a hamster!

James Williams has been teaching physical education and English as a foreign language for 5 years. In addition to this he has worked in the area of I.C.T. and web development for many years. He graduated from Durham University with a degree in combined social sciences, has a H.N.D. in sports management and a C.E.L.T.A. English teaching certificate. James lived and worked in Holland for 10 years previously to moving to Italy with wife and daughter. He has lived abroad for much of his life.

Rachel is from England and began her teaching career working in schools in Oxford and London. She then lived and worked in an International School in Hong Kong where she also completed her Masters Degree in Education. Rachel has been working at ISB since 2005 and lives with her partner Giovanni and their little boy Luigi.
